Low Fantasy Rules

A screen shot of the web version of the Low Fantasy Rules rulebook.

This began as I assume many RPGs do, as my own homebrew ideas. Trying to address what I felt like were issues in the games I was playing. I have always leaned more towards the simulationist end of the spectrum. Not that I don't enjoy the more game-y approach. It's good when it's what you want. I mostly try to stay out of the dead zone inbetween. These ideas have gone through a lot of refinement and iteration over the last couple of decades but the core ideas haven't changed much. Make it playable, graduated results, do the math up front on the character sheet as much as possible so you don't have to do it during gameplay.
